The Siuslaw Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Dayton Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Siuslaw's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 51-7 victory over Pleasant Hill.
Meanwhile, Dayton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Amity 44-6 at home. Dayton pushed the score to 37-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Amity had no chance of recovering from.
Dayton relied on the efforts of Boston Hodges, who rushed for 70 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, and Zach Smith, who rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry.
Siuslaw now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Dayton, their victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0.
