The Girard Academic Music Program Pioneers were the 56-31 winner over the Parkway Northwest Hoyas when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Girard Academic Music Program received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 63-47 to Parkway Northwest. While losing is never fun, Girard Academic Music Program can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 308th, while Parkway Northwest is ranked 58th).
Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jared Walker, who scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Morrison, who scored ten points.
Jayden Gladden continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Parkway Northwest, scoring 17 points. Kahleem Jordan was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Girard Academic Music Program's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Parkway Northwest, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Girard Academic Music Program will head out on the road to face off against Prep Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Prep Charter is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. Parkway Northwest will be home for the holidays to greet Elverson Military Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
