College Place is 4-0 against Wapato since February of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The College Place Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Wapato Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, College Place had to suffer through a rough 63-13 loss at the hands of Royal. While losing is never fun, College Place can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Royal is ranked 15th).
Meanwhile, Wapato's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Zillah, falling 53-13.
College Place's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Wapato, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-5.
Everything came up roses for College Place against Wapato in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 63-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for College Place since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
