Basketball Recap: Altoona-Midway Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Altoona-Midway won the last time they faced Liberty HomeSchool Alliance, and William Stackhouse did his part to make sure it happened again. The Altoona-Midway Jets strolled past the Liberty HomeSchool Alliance Arrows with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 63-48 thanks in part to Stackhouse, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 boards. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Altoona-Midway's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points per game. As for Liberty HomeSchool Alliance, the loss snapped their winning streak at ten games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 6-1 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Altoona-Midway will head out to challenge Yates Center at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Altoona-Midway has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 217 points over their last three contests. Liberty HomeSchool Alliance has already played their next match (against Shawnee Mission Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
