Carver Birmingham extended their losing streak  to five  on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 2-12 in the process. They lost  15-0 to the Moody Blue Devils. As for Moody, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 20 of their last 21 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-7 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games.
For Moody's part,  Chloe Phillips looked comfortable as she  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. What's more,  Phillips posted two  strikeouts, the most she's  had since April 1st.
 On the hitting side,  Lacey Nichols and  Kendall Trimm did most of the damage at the plate:  Nichols  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  home run and four  RBI, while  Trimm  went a perfect 1-for-1 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double. Those  four  RBI gave  Nichols a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Emma Kile, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  runs.
