Lone Peak is 0-3 against Orem since March of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Knights will welcome the Tigers at 3:30 p.m. Lone Peak will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Lone Peak is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against American Leadership Academy on Saturday as they made off with a 21-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.
Jocelyn Colledge made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Maci Koch was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Maggie Nelson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Lone Peak was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .654. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Orem suffered their biggest defeat since March 4, 2025 on Saturday. They lost 9-2 to Copper Hills. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Tigers' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.
Orem saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Louise Allen, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Orem's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Lone Peak, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Orem's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lone Peak has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Orem, though, as they've been averaging 9.6 hits. Given Lone Peak's sizable advantage in that area, the Tigers will need to find a way to close that gap.
