Illiana Christian has not had much luck with Hobart recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Illiana Christian's loss on Wednesday came despite strong showings from Abbie Ritzema and Cheyenne DeJong. Ritzema scored 25 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals, while DeJong dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Ritzema scored a full 52.1% of Illiana Christian's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Hobart got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Riley Weber out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kyla Butler, who scored 6 points along with 6 assists.
Illiana Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Hobart, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Illiana Christian is on the road again on Monday and play against Calumet Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 11th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Calumet Christian is ranked 276th, while Illiana Christian is ranked 262nd).
