The Sequatchie County Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sequatchie County will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Even though Sequatchie County has not done well against Bledsoe County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Sequatchie County managed a 65-60 win over Bledsoe County. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Sequatchie County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ryker Terry led the charge by dropping a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Terry has scored all season. Beckham Mckendrick was another key contributor, scoring 24 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences' three-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They came out on top against Bradenton Christian by a score of 70-61. The victory was all the more spectacular given Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences' disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 274th in Tennessee, while Bradenton Christian is ranked 75th in Florida).
Sequatchie County pushed their record up to 10-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 5.67 points across that stretch. As for Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
Sequatchie County came up short against Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 47-42.
