The Legacy Christian Grizzlies suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were dealt a 76-33 loss at the hands of Crosspointe Christian Academy. Legacy Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-15.
Crosspointe Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Neby Yewubneh out in front who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Yewubneh has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Quinton Ford was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven steals and two blocks.
Legacy Christian's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-9. As for Crosspointe Christian Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
Legacy Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mooresville Christian at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th. Mooresville Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Legacy Christian likes a good challenge. As for Crosspointe Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Tabernacle Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
