Frankfort and Hedgesville are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Falcons will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Frankfort is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
If Frankfort beats Hedgesville with 12 runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Falcons blew past Southern 12-1 on Monday. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Jaxon Hare spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Lanson Orndorff was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Gunnar Bradshaw, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.
Frankfort kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Hedgesville came up short against Clear Spring on Monday, falling 16-10. The Eagles have struggled against the Blazers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Mason McGill stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 2-for-5 with one home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Williams, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Hedgesville's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Frankfort, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Frankfort has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Hedgesville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Frankfort got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against Hedgesville by a conclusive 9-1 score. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
