The Hillsboro Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the McClain Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Ohio (Hillsboro is ranked 364th, while the Tigers are ranked 372nd).
Last Wednesday, Hillsboro was able to grind out a solid win over the Wildcats, taking the game 57-47.
Hillsboro's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Blake Herdman led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kobie Miles, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, McClain came up short against the Braves on Wednesday and fell 49-41. McClain has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The win got Hillsboro back to even at 10-10. As for McClain, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-10.
Hillsboro came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, sneaking past 44-42. Does Hillsboro have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
