The Pleasanton Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Carrizo Springs Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Pleasanton suffered their biggest loss since November 18, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the victim of a tough 61-36 loss at the hands of Floresville. While losing is never fun, Pleasanton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 908th, while Floresville is ranked 429th).
Meanwhile, Carrizo Springs earned a 54-42 win over Uvalde on Tuesday. The win was just what Carrizo Springs needed coming off of a 84-43 defeat in their prior game.
It was another big night for Adisyn Reyes, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Melanie Davila, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Pleasanton's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Carrizo Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.
Pleasanton came up short against Carrizo Springs in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 51-45. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Davila, who scored 20 points along with three steals.
