Valor Christian had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Erie Tigers 70-28. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Valor Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Titus Huard, who threw for 309 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.4 yards per attempt, and also punched in a pair of scores on the ground. Those 309 passing yards gave Huard a new career-high. Jackson Coleman was in the mix as well, providing Valor Christian with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Valor Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 298 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The win was the fifth in a row for Valor Christian, bringing their record up to 9-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.6 points on average over those games. As for Erie, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Coming up, Valor Christian is taking a road trip to challenge Legend at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 31 points in their last nine matchups. Erie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
