Basketball Recap: Chris Krencik Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Tapestry

Eden was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Tapestry on Thursday. The Eden Raiders were the clear victor by a 69-44 margin over the Tapestry Thunderhawks. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 48-44 victory the Thunderhawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Eden got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chris Krencik out in front who went 8 for 12 on his way to 21 points in addition to five assists and five boards. The contest was Krencik's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Wakelam, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 18 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Krencik wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Eden was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Eden's record is now 4-1. As for Tapestry, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eden will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Riverside at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Tapestry, they will welcome Middle Early College at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th.
