Tippecanoe Valley stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Wawasee as Tippecanoe Valley made off with a 52-31 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Tippecanoe Valley has posted against Wawasee since January 24, 2017.
Tippecanoe Valley's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Chesnee Miller, who scored 14 points along with five steals, and Ava Egolf, who scored 24 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Egolf has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gaby Gonzalez, who scored no points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Manchester's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They received a tough blow as they fell 64-49 to Bluffton. Manchester has not had much luck with Bluffton recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Tippecanoe Valley's win was their 18th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Manchester, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7.
Everything came up roses for Tippecanoe Valley against Manchester in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 73-38 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tippecanoe Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
