MaxPreps is pleased to announce that the
Pearl Pirates have officially been named to the 3rd Annual MaxPreps Soccer Tour of Champions Presented by the Army National Guard.
This exclusive honor is reserved for only 20 of the best teams in the entire country. Given the fact that 32,000 varsity teams compete, that puts the Pirates ahead of 99.9 percent of their opponents!
In order to be eligible, the team not only had to be nationally ranked, but also had to win a state championship. Beating Pascagoula 2-1 on February 4 marked the completion of an incredible 15-2-2 season — and earned Pearl an invitation to the Tour of Champions.
