It was another big night for Johann Cardenas, who rushed for 459 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. Cardenas has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last ten times he's played. Donte Lewis was another key contributor, rushing for 84 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Prestonwood Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Kellen Tasby and Caiden Collins. Tasby threw for 425 yards and four touchdowns, while Collins gained 229 total yards and two touchdowns. Tasby has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tag O'Neal, who gained 119 total yards and two touchdowns.
St. Thomas Catholic's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.4 points per game. As for Prestonwood Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
