Maple Valley has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Lakewood Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Maple Valley came up short against the Chargers and fell 58-47. Maple Valley has not had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Maple Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ayden Wilkes, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals, and Teegen McDonald who scored 12 points along with three steals. Wilkes hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake McDonald, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Lakewood also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to the Greyhounds by a score of 47-39.
Maple Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Lakewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
Maple Valley suffered a grim 51-31 defeat to the Vikings in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Maple Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
