Even though the Black Hills Wolves have not done well against the Tumwater Thunderbirds recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. Black Hills skirted past the Thunderbirds  42-40. The  win made it back-to-back wins for Black Hills.
 Leading Black Hills to victory were  Tyler Venable and  Kiley McMahon.  Venable  scored eight points along with seven  steals, while  McMahon  scored 20 points along with two  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Natalie Buchanan, who  scored seven points along with five  rebounds.
 Black Hills has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Tumwater, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost nine of their last 12 matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
 Black Hills has the luxury  of staying home another  game and will welcome the Warriors at 7:00  p.m.  on February 2nd. Tumwater does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
