The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Columbus in their matchups with Millard South: they've now lost four in a row.
Columbus' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grayson Gentile, who scored ten points. Ayla Janssen was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Columbus' loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-4. As for Millard South, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-5.
Columbus will be home for the holidays to greet North Platte at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Millard South will take on Buena Vista in a holiday battle at 5:00 p.m. on Friday at. Buena Vista is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
