Eaton Rapids is 0-1 against Clio since September of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Eaton Rapids Greyhounds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Clio Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses apiece.
Last Thursday, Eaton Rapids was beaten by Charlotte 56-6. While losing is never fun, Eaton Rapids can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 397th, while Charlotte is ranked 132nd).
Meanwhile, Clio had to suffer through a rough 55-16 loss at the hands of Holly.
Eaton Rapids' defeat was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.6 points per game. Clio has traveled a rocky road this season, as they've lost six of their first eight matchups, which leaves them at a 2-6 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Eaton Rapids, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 34-16 loss to Clio in their previous meeting back in September of 2022. Will Eaton Rapids have more luck at home instead of on the road?
