The Englewood Pirates entered their tilt with the Lake County Panthers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Englewood blew past Lake County, posting a 55-24 win at home. That's another feather in the cap for Englewood, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Englewood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jonae Harris, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Harris is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaliyah Mora, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Englewood pushed their record up to 6-9 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Lake County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Englewood will challenge Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Lake County, they will head out on the road to square off against The Pinnacle at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (The Pinnacle is ranked 328th, while Lake County is ranked 318th).
