The Academy of Notre Dame Lancers will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Uxbridge Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Academy of Notre Dame will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Uxbridge is ranked 33rd).
Last Thursday, Academy of Notre Dame might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Northeast Metro RVT an easy 65-45 win. Academy of Notre Dame has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Uxbridge entered their tilt with Quaboag Regional with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Uxbridge came out on top against Quaboag Regional by a score of 49-41 on Thursday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Uxbridge has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Uxbridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Mccusker, who scored ten points. Aidan Blood was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Academy of Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Uxbridge, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
