Softball Recap: South Carroll Wins Going Away Against Century

South Carroll hadn't beaten Century on the road since April 20, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Cavaliers blew past the Knights 11-2. Considering the Cavaliers have won four matchups by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Macie Bell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Addy Rodrigues and Alayna Enoff did most of the damage at the plate: Rodrigues went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base, while Enoff went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Myla Bell, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

South Carroll is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Century, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, South Carroll will challenge Manchester Valley on Wednesday. As for Century, they will host Governor Thomas Johnson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
