Colleyville Heritage took their game at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 49-18 victory over Polytechnic. Considering Colleyville Heritage has won seven matchups by more than 30 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Colleyville Heritage had a senior duo take command as Luke Ullrich threw for 214 yards and four touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes and Ryan Keleher gained 116 total yards and two touchdowns. Keleher was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Blueitt, who picked up 61 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Colleyville Heritage's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-8 Trimble Tech and 2-7 Polytechnic (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 36.1% over those games). As for Polytechnic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Colleyville Heritage will head out on the road to face off against Wyatt at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wyatt will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 454th, while Colleyville Heritage is ranked 84th). As for Polytechnic, they will be playing at home against Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Southwest is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
