Softball Recap: Battery Creek Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Battery Creek lost against Colleton County back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Battery Creek Dolphins came up short against the Colleton County Cougars, falling 16-3.

Battery Creek saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Autumn Franks, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Franks has posted since back in March of 2024.

Battery Creek's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2.

Battery Creek wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 21-10 win against Hilton Head Island on the 14th. As for Colleton County, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Columbia at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
