Amherst County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Austin Brooks, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Black, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and five steals.
Amherst County has not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Jefferson Forest, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.
