Kenai Central faced Grace Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Kardinals never let the Grizzlies get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Kardinals this season.

Everett Chamberlain was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Braden Smith was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Logan Mese was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Kenai Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .762. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive matchups.

Kenai Central's record now sits at 7-3. As for Grace Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
