The Fowlerville Gladiators were the 79-42 winner over the Durand Railroaders when they last played one another back in February of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Fowlerville took a 76-58 bruising from Durand on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Markell Tate, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals for Durand. Tate is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Brayden Kelley, who scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Fowlerville bumped their record down to 3-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Durand, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Fowlerville will look to defend their home court on Friday against St. Johns at 7:00 p.m. As for Durand, they will head out on the road to challenge Chesaning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Chesaning comes in on ten and Durand on three.
