The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Traders Point Christian has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while the Patriots will arrive with five straight victories.
Last Friday, Traders Point Christian came up short against the Eagles and fell 62-52.
Despite the loss, Traders Point Christian had strong showings from Andrew Hensley, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Kameron Reese, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hensley has scored all season.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Bethesda Christian at home against the Eagles on Thursday as the team secured a 61-28 victory. Given Bethesda Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Eagles are ranked 383rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Traders Point Christian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Bethesda Christian, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7.
Traders Point Christian came up short against the Patriots in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, falling 51-44. Can Traders Point Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
