The Southeastern Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 56-33 margin over Alexander. That looming 56-33 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Southeastern yet this season.
Southeastern got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor Smith out in front who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Williams, who scored seven points along with five assists.
The victory makes it two in a row for Southeastern and bumps their season record up to 2-3. As for Alexander, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Southeastern and Unioto will face off at 7:15 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Unioto focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Saturday. As for Alexander, they will head out on the road to face off against Vinton County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Vinton County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Alexander likes a good challenge.
