The Saugerties Sawyers won the last time they faced the Pine Plains Bombers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Saugerties blew past Pine Plains 58-19 at home.
Saugerties can attribute much of their success to Natalie Tucker, who scored 14 points along with 8 steals and 5 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicolette Rifenburgh, who scored 9 points along with 4 steals.
The win got Saugerties back to even at 1-1. As for Pine Plains, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saugerties will take on Hunter-Tannersville at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pine Plains, they will be playing at home against Millbrook at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
