They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over the Valley Oaks CES Vanguards. Daniel Silva was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off nine hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
