Given Vienna's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while Christopher is ranked 455th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Vienna to victory were Hunter Webb and Owen Treat. Webb scored 19 points along with three steals, while Treat almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine assists. Treat has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 16 times he's played. Marcato Constante was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Vienna is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. As for Christopher, they dropped their record down to 14-14 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
