The Cross Schools Stingrays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 30 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 51-12 victory over Holly Hill Academy on the road. 51 seems to be a good number for Cross Schools as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Cross Schools got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sydney Hollings out in front who scored 15 points along with three steals. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Genesis Wilson, who scored six points along with eight steals and seven rebounds.
Cross Schools' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. As for Holly Hill Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Andrew Jackson Academy the next time they take the court. Cross Schools will head out to face Andrew Jackson Academy at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, while Holly Hill Academy will host them at 2:15 p.m. on Friday.
