After only one run in their last match, Riverton made sure to put some runs up on the board against Copper Hills on Monday. The Silverwolves put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Silverwolves, who have now won seven contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Rocky Downs made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Gaige Woods was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Stein Mozingo, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
