That result was just more of the same for these two, as Omaha Westside also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2015.
Omaha Westside was led to victory by Sanai Foster and Kimora Jenkins. Foster scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds, while Jenkins scored 13 points. Sydney Hagen was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
North Platte's loss came despite strong showings from Avery Zurn and Keyala Williams. Zurn scored 8 points along with 18 rebounds, while Williams scored 5 points.
The win got Omaha Westside back to even at 1-1. As for North Platte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Omaha Westside will look to defend their home court on Friday against Gretna at 5:30 p.m. Gretna and Omaha Westside are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for North Platte, they will head out on the road to face off against Alliance at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
