The Atholton Raiders fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 33-20 victory over River Hill on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Atholton also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Cameron Lee was on fire: he rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Lee hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for three straight games. Tyler Bell was another key contributor, rushing for 55 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Atholton's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for River Hill, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 5-4.
Atholton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. River Hill will look to defend their home field on Friday against Oakland Mills at 7:00 p.m. Oakland Mills is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
