Basketball Recap: Colton-Pierrepont Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Cody Trimm and Ty Farns

Colton-Pierrepont lost against Boquet Valley back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Colton-Pierrepont Colts took a 35-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boquet Valley Griffins. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Colton-Pierrepont's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ty Farns, who posted six points, and Cody Trimm, who earned seven points along with six boards and three steals. Farns is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

It was another big night for Carson Leibeck, who put up 16 points and four steals for Boquet Valley. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Leibeck has scored at least a third of Boquet Valley's points. Colba Furman was another key player, putting up six points in addition to nine rebounds and three blocks.

Colton-Pierrepont's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Boquet Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Colton-Pierrepont has already played their next match (against Chateaugay), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Boquet Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-44 win against Chazy on the 14th.
