The Indian Springs COYOTES will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Miller Rebels at 7:00 p.m.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Indian Springs, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 37-20 loss to Rubidoux. Indian Springs has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Xavier Webber, who picked up 237 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Webber's longest reception was for an incredible 95 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Damien Mancha, who threw for 314 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 15.0 yards per attempt.
Meanwhile, Miller had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past San Bernardino with points to spare, taking the game 28-14.
Jesus Rasura and Ilya Ridge were among the main playmakers for Miller as the former rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries and the latter rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
Indian Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Miller, their win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-4.
Indian Springs came up short against Miller in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 39-26. Will Indian Springs have more luck at home instead of on the road?
