The North Hagerstown Hubs will head out on the road to face off against the Oakdale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: North Hagerstown has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Oakdale will arrive with nine straight victories.
Last Friday, North Hagerstown suffered a tough 28-6 defeat at the hands of South Hagerstown.
The losing side was boosted by Luke Bragunier, who rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Oakdale stacked a third blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 56-3 win over Tuscarora on the road. Given Oakdale's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland football rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Tuscarora is ranked 163rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
North Hagerstown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Oakdale, their win was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 9-1.
North Hagerstown took a serious blow against Oakdale when the teams last played back in November of 2022, falling 53-0. Can North Hagerstown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
