Baseball Recap: Jackson Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Jackson Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Snook Christian Academy on Saturday as Jackson Academy made off with a 16-5 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Jackson Academy needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Jacob Criswell and Landon Jordan did most of the damage at the plate: Criswell went 3-for-4 with six RBI, three doubles, and two runs, while Jordan scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Huntley Dees, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Jackson Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .565. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Snook Christian Academy only posted a batting average of .353.

Jackson Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Snook Christian Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Jackson Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 14-2 victory against Sparta Academy on the 10th. As for Snook Christian Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-2 defeat against Escambia Academy on the 10th.
