Riverside came out on top against Lakeland on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run second inning. The Vikings blew past the Chiefs 18-7. Considering the Vikings have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

On the hitting side, Riverside got a massive performance out of Cassidy Merrifield, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Merrifield a new career-high. Kate Reynolds was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Riverside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakeland only posted an OBP of .355.
Riverside's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Lakeland, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
