Mondovi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Luther Knights. One positive for the Buffaloes, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Mondovi's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Luther, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Mondovi will take on Osseo-Fairchild at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Osseo-Fairchild knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Mondovi likes a good challenge. As for Luther, they will challenge Onalaska at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Onalaska's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
