Basketball Recap: St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Now 11-1 over Last 12 Games

St. Stephen's & St. Agnes won against Georgetown Prep last Tuesday with 64 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. The St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints managed a 64-59 victory over the Flint Hill Huskies. The win was familiar territory for the Saints who have now won three matchups in a row.

St. Stephen's & St. Agnes' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley Jacobs, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Jacobs a new career-high in steals (three). Another player making a difference was Devin Ainsworth, who went 6 for 14 en route to 17 points.

St. Stephen's & St. Agnes is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Flint Hill, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Stephen's & St. Agnes will face off against Landon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Flint Hill, they will square off against Sidwell Friends at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Flint Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 games -- so hopefully Sidwell Friends likes a good challenge.
