Basketball Recap: Yavneh Academy Piles Up the Points Against North Dallas Adventist Academy

Yavneh Academy won the last time they faced North Dallas Adventist Academy and things went their way on Monday too. The Yavneh Academy Bulldogs blew past the North Dallas Adventist Academy Sentinel 66-36. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Darren Sacher had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in February of 2024. Aidan Schick also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Yavneh Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, North Dallas Adventist Academy still got an impressive performance from Boomer Frain, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. That was a full 44.4% of North Dallas Adventist Academy's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Omanwa, who had three points.

Yavneh Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.8 points. As for North Dallas Adventist Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Coincidentally, Yavneh Academy and North Dallas Adventist Academy will both be playing Lakehill Prep the next time they take the court. Yavneh Academy will head out to face Lakehill Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while North Dallas Adventist Academy will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
