Windermere scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a hard 62-45 fall against the Boone Braves. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 524th, while the Braves are ranked 231st).

Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kailani Mcgowan, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds. That was a full 37.8% of Windermere's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sara Nogueira, who had ten points and three steals.

Windermere dropped their record down to 3-20 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Boone, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.

Windermere didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-35 defeat against West Orange on the 4th. As for Boone, they have also already played their next contest, a 52-42 win against University on the 4th.
