Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carlin). Everything went their way against the Eureka Vandals on Tuesday as they made off with a 34-21 win. The Railroaders haven't had any issues with the Vandals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Adian Adams was a standout: she got on base in all seven of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, five runs, and five RBI. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mariah Urenda, who scored five runs and stole four bases while getting on base in six of her seven plate appearances.
Carlin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 25 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in three consecutive contests.
Carlin now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Eureka, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
