Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop). They put the hurt on the Valley Center Jaguars with a sharp 86-60 win on Friday. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 295th, while the Jaguars are ranked 985th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Valley Center lost, don't look at Lincoln Zetmeir. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-9 from beyond the arc to rack up 42 points and five boards. Zetmeir's evening made it 28 games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Teter, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

Bishop's victory bumped their record up to 15-13. As for Valley Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-19.
