The Bozeman Bucks will venture away from home to face off against the Altha Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bozeman has 12 straight victories, Altha has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Bozeman proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 18) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over Wewahitchka.

Carlee Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kinsey Bruhmuller, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Hayden Morris was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.
Bozeman hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in nine consecutive contests.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Tuesday. Altha fell just short of Bethlehem by a score of 8-7.
Annaleigh Hansford made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kaylean Clowes, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Altha's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Bozeman, their record is now 21-3.
Altha's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bozeman hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .351. It's a different story for Altha, though, as they've only averaged .197. Will they be able to contain Bozeman's hitters?
Bozeman got the 'W' in their previous meeting two weeks ago against Altha by a conclusive 16-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bucks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
